Building on its commitment to provide access to quality, affordable generic medicines and essential healthcare services across the country, Generika Drugstore launched the first Ginhawang Barangayan of 2024 last April 19, in partnership with the Municipal Government of Taytay, led by Mayor Allan De Leon, the Municipal Health Office (MHO), and Barangay Muzon.
Nearly 600 residents—children and elderly alike—actively participated in the event, benefiting from Libreng Konsulta provided by partner doctors, along with free medicines and giveaways.
One of the key highlights of the program was GenTalk, an interactive session that addresses people’s misconception that generic medicines are less safe or effective than their branded counterparts.
To further educate the community, a nutritionist from barangay Muzon integrated a talk on ‘Pinggang Pinoy,’ emphasizing the importance of balanced nutrition for children’s health. This discussion emphasized the vital role of proper nutrition in fostering healthier families in barangay Muzon.
Bugloy Cruz, Chairperson of barangay Muzon, expressed his gratitude for being part of Ginhawang Barangayan . “Nais nating ngiting-ngiti tayo ngayong araw dahil mapalad po ang ating barangay dahil itong mga kaibigan at kasamahan natin mula sa Generika, yung kanilang ginagawa na sa buong Pilipinas ay napili po ang ating barangay para magkaroon po ng isang malawak na health caravan,” he said.
Generika Drugstore is part of Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health), a wholly owned subsidiary of Ayala Corporation, that aims to provide Filipinos access to affordable and quality healthcare.
