Stay-in grandmother Emerlita Pangavera, a resident of Barangay Concepcion Grande, is one of the many beneficiaries of Ginhawang Barangayan. Upon learning that a medical mission would be held in their barangay, she quickly gathered her daughters and granddaughter, encouraging them to take advantage of the free consultations and medicines offered by the program.
This was not Emerlita’s first encounter with Generika Drugstore. A loyal customer for years, she buys from Generika because of the savings and quality of medicines it offers.
In collaboration with the City Government of Naga, under Mayor Nelson Legacion, the City Health Office (CHO), and Barangay Concepcion Grande, Generika Drugstore brought Ginhawang Barangayan to their community last July 16, 2024.
Jerrold Ritto, Barangay Chairperson of Concepcion Grande, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the recipients of Ginhawang Barangayan.
To further strengthen the healthcare program in Barangay Concepcion Grande, Generika Drugstore’s corporate pharmacists, as in previous Ginhawang Barangayan events, held a GenTalk session aimed at educating the community on the safety and efficacy of generic medicines. In addition, a nutritionist from Barangay Concepcion gave a talk on the importance of balancing meals within the family. These sessions provided valuable insights on affordable healthcare and nutrition for families.
Generika Drugstore is part of Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health), a wholly owned subsidiary of Ayala Corporation, that aims to provide Filipinos access to affordable and quality healthcare.
